FAQs

How much notice do you need for booking services?

I usually recommend that you make a booking with me as soon as you know your dates to avoid disappointment (especially if you are planning on going away during the holiday season). I am quite flexible however, and availability permitting, will accept bookings up to the day before you are due to leave (if I have not yet met your pets) and on the same day that a visit is required (for ongoing clients).

Do I have to engage you for a minimum time period?

No. You can request as little as a single visit if this is all that is required.

I have a young puppy who is not mature enough to go on long walks yet and still needs to be fed in the middle of the day. If I have to work away from home for a few hours are you able to help out?

Yes, you can arrange to have your pup visited during the day for a toilet break and to have a meal. I will let her out into the garden to “stretch her legs” and play with her before making sure she is settled comfortably back in her bed or puppy crate. During my visit I can also reinforce any commands you are teaching her.

My cats are very elderly and I don’t want them to go through the stress of staying in a cattery, can you look after them instead?

Yes. Often the security and comfort of staying in their own environment provides cats with a more enjoyable experience than boarding in unknown surroundings. I will visit your home once or twice a day to check on them. Including, feeding, and providing fresh water, cleaning litter trays and lots of cuddles and TLC to help take their minds off the fact that you’re away.

Are you insured whilst looking after my dog?

The health and safety of all animals in my care is taken very seriously and everything that can be done will be done to make sure they are safe. In the highly unlikely event of something happening whilst your dog is in my care I have £5million Public Liability Insurance. This covers injury to third parties and damage to third party property. However, it is always a good idea to have pet insurance to cover any unexpected vets bills!

What happens if my animal is ill or injured while I’m away?

On the form we complete together at the time of booking my services is a section requesting your Vet’s details. This enables me to contact your usual vet in the case of an emergency.

Do you look after pets on your own premises?

No. For reduced stress, your pet stays where it feels most comfortable and secure – at home. With familiar sights, sounds, smells, and routines your pet can relax and follow its regular schedule.

How will you ensure my property is secure while I’m away?

I will strive to give your property that “lived-in” look by bringing in mail, taking out any rubbish, turning lights on and off and opening and closing blinds/curtains. I also do a visual inspection of your property during my visits to ensure nothing appears out of the ordinary.

  • What our clients are saying…

“Thank you for taking care of our two kitties. It is wonderful to know they are being loved and tended to while we are away. Your kindness, flexibility, and professionalism are superior and reassuring. We thank you and Kudzu and Noobi thank you.”
